SHELBY, OH- The Kehoe Center is hosting the Ohio Jail Administrators Conference for the second year in a row.

The conference brings together corrections officers from all 88 counties in Ohio according Dean of the Kehoe Center, Greg Timberlake.

Jail leadership including Sheriffs, Jail Administrators, and Captains gathered to learn more about Inmate Offender Rights, Corrections Fatigue, and Medical Treatment for Inmates according to Jail Administrator for the Medina County Sheriff's Office, Lieutenant Dean Lesak.

"It is very important for the entire state of Ohio due to the fact that the population of inmates is overwhelming in almost all the county facilities in the state," Lesak said.

Lesak said that it is essential that law enforcement officials know about inmate rights because, "that prevents lawsuits from happening, and most importantly the health and safety and the welfare of all the individuals were responsible for being incarcerated with."
