Scam Calls Reported In Richland County

Richland County, OH- The Richland County Sheriff's Office is alerting the public following scam phone calls being reported in the area. 

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Office, citizens in the area are receiving calls asking them to pay money for alleged active warrants against them or go to jail.

The caller identifies themselves as a Sheriff's Deputy of the Richland County Sheriff's Office. The caller always provides a story that encourages you to send money immediately. 

The Sheriff's Office does not handle monies for fines, bonds or warrants.
