GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, OH - The Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Thursday, November 7th.

Around 10:20 PM Thursday evening, 18-year-old David France, Jr. was driving a 1998 Buick Regal southbound on Plymouth East Road.

He lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning several times before the vehicle came to rest on his driver's door in a nearby field. France sustained fatal injuries and passed away at the scene.

Authorities say that alcohol and high rate of speed were contributing factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
