MANSFIELD, OH - Popular ski and snowboarding resort Snow Trails began its snow-making campaign on Thursday evening, the earliest for the season in the resort's 58-year history.

The next-earliest snow-making campaign, according to Snow Trails records, began on November 13th, 2014.

During most years, snow-making starts around the Thanksgiving holiday, with the resort's Opening Day following close behind for an early December date.

On Saturday, November 9th, Snow Trails will welcome guests for a "Pre-Season Party" event, with doors opening as early as 7 PM.

This event is free and open to the public, and will feature fireworks and live musical entertainment.
