MANSFIELD, OH - A Thursday unveiling showed that sacrifices made by Veterans at the Waterford are not forgotten.

A Veterans Wall was unveiled to the public with pictures of Waterford Veterans. Pictures dating back to when they first enlisted were displayed for all seniors and visitors to see.

Some seniors either had their old pictures lost or destroyed due to unforeseen circumstances, but Waterford staff still honored them by taking their picture to make sure they get the recognition they deserve.

"We've done this for many years, I always wanted to honor our veterans and I wanted a display that my veterans can go by everyday and be proud." said Denise Gray, Executive Director of Capital Senior Living. "I'm very proud of the service that they have done for us."

The Veterans Wall Dedication was followed by a flag folding and color guard demonstration.

Various directors in Mansfield came together to find a way to honor local veterans, according to Denise Gray. It was decided after a meeting earlier this year that a veterans wall would be a great way to honor and promote the veterans that live at the Waterford.
