Jane M. Eggeman, 91, of Mansfield passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Avita Health System Galion Hospital. Jane was born on August 23, 1926 in Akron, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Dells and Anna May (Shaw) Getchell.

 

 

 

Jane was a member of First English Lutheran Church where she was a past youth group advisor, participated in the hand bell choir, served as part of the Homeless Outreach program, contributed to the food pantry, and actively involved with the church prayer chain. She was formerly a member of the Mansfield Choral Society and Women's Circle Club. Jane enjoyed knitting, playing cards, playing the game aggravation, was an avid reader, and eating potato chips while watching movies.

 

 

 

She leaves behind her children, Barbara (Lyle) Riblet of Somers, IA, Julie Ann (Mike) Keyes of Galion, David (Melody) Eggeman and Roger (Lori) Eggeman both of Ontario; and Mark (Brandy) Eggeman of Chesapeake, VA; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Gary and Carrol Eggeman; a sister-in-law, Jean Steiner; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen C. Eggeman; and two sisters, Ellen Brillhart and Kate Flowers.

 

 

 

Friends and family may visit from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Rev. Paul Larson will officiate the funeral ceremony at 10:30am on Friday, October 6, 2017 at First English Lutheran Church, 53 Park Avenue West. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in Jane's honor to First English Lutheran Church.
