CLEVELAND, OH- Wooster High School bat boy Joey McGhee is riding what baseball players call, "A hot streak".

The soon to be senior went viral after smacking an inside the park home run in late April to lead off the Generals game against Revere. Wooster would go on to win the contest 8-4 and McGhee received the game ball.

The slugger with Down syndrome was also recognized for his accomplishments by several websites, featured on Cleveland's Fox 8 News, named Athlete of the Week by the Daily Record newspaper and has led to numerous autograph requests, according to his coach Steve Young.

The Cleveland Indians were so impressed by Joey's dinger that the club invited him to a game of his choice with special access. McGhee chose to celebrate his 18th birthday at Progressive Field over the weekend when the Tribe hosted the Tigers on Saturday, receiving some autographs of his own before the game.

Along with his family, Joey had the opportunity to meet with 2nd Baseman Jason Kipnis, OF Brandon Guyer and his favorite player, OF Michael Brantley, during pregame warmups. Brantley even gave Joey his batting gloves as a birthday present to make a memorable night even more special.
