CLEVELAND, OH- The Indians haven't lost a game since the third week of August as they continue to pile up victories on their way into the Major League Baseball record books. Wednesday afternoon the Tribe won their 21st consecutive contest with a 5-3 win over the Tigers, tying the 1935 Chicago Cubs for the longest win streak in league history without a tie.

Even though the historic run has captured the attention of fans and media, the Indians aren't getting too wrapped-up in their success. WMFD's Brian Skowronski and Travis Berardi were on hand for Cleveland's historic win and had an opportunity to speak with key players and skipper Terry Francona about the streak...but received little response.

The Indians are taking a game by game approach, trying to stay in the moment and let the wins come as a by product. Pitcher Danny Salazar did point out the impact young players have had on the squad during the streak and shortstop Francisco Lindor added that just about every member of the team has been contributing along the way.

Cleveland has outscored their opponents by 102 runs during their 21 game run, the best such differential by any team ever in that time frame. The Tribe begins a a 4-game set with Kansas City at Progressive Field on Thursday seeking to continue their winning ways, one game at a time.
