Mansfield Mavericks Volleyball Begins New Season

MANSFIELD, OH -- The Mansfield Mavericks Women’s Volleyball team is ready to serve the fans something exciting this season.  The Lady Mavericks first two home games will be held this weekend.  This first game against Miami University-Hamilton will take place on Saturday, September 30 at 1 p.m. at the Campus Recreation Center.  The second game against Ohio University Eastern will be on Sunday, October 30 at 1 p.m. at the Campus Recreation Center.


The Lady Mavericks compete against teams from the Ohio Regional Campus Conference, made up of nine different schools, and other regional campuses throughout the state of Ohio.  The team consists of students from both The Ohio State University at Mansfield and North Central State College.  Head Women’s Volleyball Coach for the Mansfield Mavericks, Todd Huff, is excited about the new season and is encouraging his players to be their best not only on the volleyball court but also in all aspects of life.  He says, “I strive to build in each player a belief and confidence in themselves and their abilities.”

Oct. 10 – 6 p.m. vs. Kent State Tuscarawas*

Oct. 14 – 1 p.m. vs. Ohio U. Lancaster*

Oct. 17 – 6 p.m. vs. University of Akron Club*

Oct. 21 – Volleyball ORCC Tournament – Lancaster – TBA
