CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians could not close out the New York Yankees at home in game 5 of the ALDS as they fell to the Bronx Bombers 5-2 on Wednesday night.

Corey Kluber started for the Indians and looked to rebound from a poor performance in Game 2 of the series, but could not get out of the fourth inning as the Cy Young candidate gave up two home runs to Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius putting New York ahead 3-0 early.

The Indians would respond in the fifth against Yankee starter CC Sabathia as they hit four-straight singles to cut the lead to 3-2. It would be all the offense they would produce, however, as the Yankee bullpen took over and threw 4 2/3 no-hit innings allowing only two walks while striking out six.

The loss puts the Tribe to 3-17 in series-clinching games dating back to 1999 and it is the third time in ten years that the team has blown a multiple-game lead in a series.
