MARION, OH - The Shelby Whippets took care of business, yet again, defeating St. Marys Memorial 47-7 in a Division 4, Region 14 semi-final at Marion Harding High School on Friday night.

The game was close for a half as Shelby went into the break up 20-7. Devon "Shorty" Brooks started the scoring with a 38-yard touchdown run on the Whippets' second possession of the game.

They then scored on their next two possessions on two Brennan Armstrong touchdown passes to Brooks and Brady Hill.

The Roughriders lone score of the half came via an interception return which set up a 1-yard run by quarterback Colin Chambers.

The second half would be a much different story as Armstrong took the game into his own hands scoring four rushing touchdowns as the Whippets had their 12th running clock in as many games winning 47-7.

Shelby will face Bellevue, 21-13 winners over Clear Fork, in Friday's Region 14 Championship game at a site to be determined by the OHSAA.
